GATEWAY RECREATION, INC. IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, THEFT, ETC. TO ANY PERSONAL PROPERTY ON GATEWAY PREMISES

Eligibility: Any person of legal age (18) years may become a member of the corporation by purchasing a fully paid membership certificate for $100.00. Each certificate holder is entitled to a vote.

Residents within a TEN (10) MILES of Monroe, Iowa must become a regular member to participate. Anyone living outside the area may come and pay the daily green fees and swim fees.

**** ANNUAL DUES: The annual dues shall be $500.00 plus tax per family membership for the calendar year. Dues shall become due on January 1, of the current year, with the first half becoming delinquent on March 31st of the current year. The second half is delinquent of June 15. If first half dues become delinquent a $25.00 late charge. If second half becomes delinquent a second $25.00 late charge will be added.

MEMBERS WHOSE ANNUAL DUES ARE NOT CURRENT WILL FORFEIT ALL PRIVILEGES.

***BOARD MEMBERS HAVE APPROVED A NEW SENIOR MEMBERSHIP FOR 2005. IF YOU HAVE BEEN A MEMBER AND ARE 75 OR OVER YOU ARE LEGIBLE FOR A SEASON PASS FOR $100.00. THIS WILL ENTITLE YOU TO PLAY 20 TIMES DURING THE SEASON. IF YOU WISH TO PURCHASE THIS CONTACT THE TREASURER. REGULAR CART AND BARN FEES APPLY.

ADDITIONAL FEES: Golf cart fee of $50.00 is charged per year. Barn rent for a year is $50.00 and the fee for an electric cart is an additional $50.00 per year plus tax

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY: Any member who causes physical damage to the property of the corporation shall be subject to dismissal.

MEMBERSHIP LIST: Names of all members shall be posted in the clubhouse on or before July 1st of each year.

SALES OF MEMBERSHIP CERTIFICATE: A member wishing to relinquish his membership certificate may do so by leaving the certificate with the Treasurer, who will, as soon as possible, sell the membership to the first applicant accepted by the Membership Committee.


STUDENT DUES: Student Dues are $50.00 plus tax and are for students who are high school are. These students may play golf on weekdays only, and NOT on WEEKENDS or HOLIDAYS!! FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN FORFEITURE OF STUDENT MEMBERSHIP. NO POOL PRIVILEGES INCLUDED. Full time college students who are still total dependents of their parents are also eligible for a student membership. ALL MEMBERS OF THE HIGH SCHOOL GOLF TEAM WHO ARE NOT MEMBERS OF GATEWAY WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE A STUDENT MEMBERSHIP. SAME RULES WILL APPLY.

PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS: Those people who have lived outside of the TEN (10) MILE radius of Gateway Recreation and have recently moved to this area, may use the facilities on a trail basis, for a period of 60 days by paying green fees and swim fees, with option to join Gateway Recreation after this period.

NO EQUIPMENT OR FURNISHINGS belonging to the club shall be loaned or removed from the club premises for any occasion!! Damage or destruction by members of equipment, furnishings or any property belonging to the Club shall be paid for by the member or members responsible for same. Ash trays are available. NO CIGARETTES OR CIGARS ON THE FLOOR – INCLUDING POOL COVER!!  NOT RESPONSIBLE IN CASE OF ACCIDENTS!

Chairperson of each committee is to contact other committee members for that event. Board of Directors Meeting are held the second Monday of each month at 7:00 pm at the clubhouse unless a change of date and time is posted.
